Grand Park Cup:

September 2-3, 2023

More than 240 teams, from 39 clubs will descend upon Grand Park Labor Day Weekend for a weekend of soccer. Regarded as one of the premier events of the Fall season, we are excited to host teams from across the midwest including Ohio, Wisconsin, Kentucky, Illinois, Michigan, Tennessee, and Indiana. Our home fields will be filled with energy and excitement as players compete for the right to be called Grand Park Cup Champions. Our tournaments are well attended because of the support of our families.

As with all of our tournaments, we cannot successfully host this event without the help of our families working to fulfill their required volunteer hours. A sign-up will be coming soon, and we ask that you please help us to make sure this year's event is as great as ever by being there to serve as a volunteer.

Parent Volunteer Sign-ups

Indiana Fire Academy requires all members to serve up to 12 hours annually as a volunteer at our club events, per player registered with the club. While some families opted out of this volunteer requirement, paying a fee, the great majority of our membership helps our club to hold some of the highest regarded soccer tournaments in the midwest. You will have opportunities to serve our club during the following events this year:

Fire & Ice Ball (February 2024)
Turf Classic 11v11 (March 9-10, 2024)
Turf Classic Small-Sided (March 16-17, 2024)
Crossroads of America College Showcase
- Boys Weekend (April 19-21, 2024)
- Girls Weekend (April 26-28, 2024)
Golf Outing (June 2024)
W-League Home Matches (Spring/Summer 2024)

Respect the Game, Support our Referees

Indiana Fire Academy is committed to promoting a positive environment because we understand that referees are human beings, imperfect and likely to make mistakes. Our club demands our parents and players demonstrate the utmost respect for the match officials by: (1) refraining from criticizing the referees, (2) avoiding the use of abusive language towards referees, and (3) making a commitment to sportsmanship. Indiana Fire Academy membership understands anything negative we say to referees will not impact the game in a positive way.

TeamSnap

Indiana Fire Academy utilizes TeamSnap for all team communications and organizational needs. This is our primary form of communications between Indiana Fire Academy as a Club, Coaches, Parents, and Players.

COMMUNICATIONS: Coaches, Managers, and Club Staff will use the app for weekly updates, urgent messages, and even take advantage of the chat functionality to collaborate as a team on different activities during the season. Please be sure to update your email and phone number in the app, so you can always stay up to date on all things happening with your child. You can even set your phone to allow the app to give you urgent notifications. We utilize this important communication tool updates during tournaments and training sessions where weather may impact the timing of things.

SCHEDULE: Your player's training and game schedule will be placed onto the calendar inside the app. Our managers and coaches are expected to keep this schedule up-to-date so you can always rely on the information in the app when planning your transportation needs. TeamSnap does offer a method to automatically update your personal calendar on your mobile devices, saving you time from having to enter all of those dates and details.
